MOM'S BANANA PUDDING 
This is the way my mother makes it. I normally add all of the Cool Whip in the beginning instead of putting it on top.

1 (5 oz.) box instant vanilla pudding (family size)
3 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip, divided
4 or 5 bananas
1 (12 oz.) box vanilla wafers (I use Nilla)

Beat pudding mix, milk and vanilla until it begins to thicken. Blend in sweetened condensed milk, cream cheese, and 1/2 Cool Whip.

In a glass bowl or casserole dish, layer bananas, cookies, and pudding mixture. Repeat. Top with remaining Cool Whip. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
