FRENCH CHERRY DESSERT 
3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
20 crushed soda crackers
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 c. pecans
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 carton Cool Whip
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cherry pie filling

Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar while beating. Beat until stiff peaks form when beater is pulled up. Combine soda crackers and baking powder. Fold into egg mixture. Fold in vinegar, vanilla and pecans. Spoon into greased 13 x 9 inch pan.

Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool thoroughly. Combine and beat until smooth the cream cheese, sugar, Cool Whip and vanilla. Spread over cooled egg whites. Spoon pie filling over cheese mixture. Chill 2 to 3 hours.
