MY MOTHER'S MEAT SAUCE 
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 lb. ground chuck
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 (6 oz.) tomato paste
3/4 c. water
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. cooked pasta
Parmesan cheese

Saute onion in butter and oil. Add the ground meat and brown. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste and water. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook 45-60 minutes. Pour over cooked pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
