ICE CREAM DESSERT 
1 (12 oz.) box crushed vanilla wafers
1/2 c. melted butter
2 c. powdered sugar
2 (1 oz.) sqs. melted unsweetened chocolate
3 eggs, separated
1 1/4 sticks butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 gals. vanilla ice cream

Blend wafers and butter and reserve 1 cup for top. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Melt chocolate and butter in double boiler and put powdered sugar and egg yolks (well beaten yolks) and vanilla and cool. Add stiffly beaten egg whites to chocolate mixture. Pour over crumbs set in freezer for 1/2 hour, cover this with ice cream and sprinkle wafer crumbs on the top. Keep frozen until 1/2 hour before ready to use. Thaw slightly to cut.
