MARY'S LINZER BARS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
2 egg yolks
4 egg whites
6 oz. (seedless) raspberry preserves
1 - 1 1/2 c. grated nuts

In bowl, mix together flour, 1/2 cup sugar, butter and egg yolks. Work with hands until well mixed. Pat dough into 10"x15" pan. Prick dough with fork (in rows so it doesn't bubble up). Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and spread with raspberry preserves. Beat egg whites stiff with 1 cup sugar. Fold in chopped nuts. Spread on top of raspberry preserves. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and score into bars.
