PORTUGUESE KALE SOUP | |
3 qt. cold water 1 1/2 c. lg. Northern white beans 1-2 sticks Portuguese linguica 5 potatoes, chopped 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans (for color) 6 kale leaves mustard greens, chopped Add beans to cold water and linguica. Cook all together until beans are cooked, add more water, if needed. Bring all the above ingredients to a boil for 10 minutes. Then lower until it is cooked. Add kidney beans. Chop boiled linguica, if desired, and add back into the soup. Add salt to taste. |
