CHOCOLATE CHUNK PECAN COOKIES 
2/3 c. butter (room temperature)
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed dark brown sugar
1 lg. egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3 bars (3 oz. each) Swiss dark chocolate, chopped in 1/2" pieces
2/3 c. (3 oz.) coarsely chopped pecans

Or 1 (12 ounce) bag Hershey's chunks (silver bag).

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, mix butter, sugars, egg and vanilla at medium speed until fluffy. Reduce mixer to low. Add flour, increase speed gradually and beat until blended. Stir in chocolate and pecans.

Drop by heaping tablespoon 2 1/2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Bake 17 minutes or until edges brown and tops look dry. Cool. Makes 2 dozen.
