DATE CRISPIES 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
Pinch of salt

1 slightly beaten egg
1 c. chopped dates

Cook over low heat, stirring all the time, 8 to 10 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. cool mixture, then stir in 1 cup chopped nuts and 2 cups Rice Krispies. Shape into finger rolls and roll in angel flake coconut.
