EVA'S TEXAS BEANS 
1 lb. ground chuck
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 can mushrooms, stems & pieces
2 cans pork & beans in tomato sauce
1 can kidney or chili beans
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 c. catsup
1 c. cold water
2 tsp. prepared mustard
2 tsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. chili powder (or a little less)
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 clove garlic, chopped fine
1/2 c. wine

Brown meat in skillet. Stir in soup mix, beans, catsup, water, and all other ingredients. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole and bake, covered, for 45 minutes. Can cook slowly on top of stove in large kettle for 45 minutes. Oven temperature 375 degrees. Serves 8.
