HOT RELISH 
12 c. green tomatoes, chopped
6 c. onions, chopped
3 c. green bell pepper, chopped
3 c. red bell peppers, chopped
1 to 1 1/2 c. hot peppers
2 1/4 c. vinegar
3 c. sugar
1/4 c. salt
2 tsp. mixed pickling spices, tied in bag

Combine vinegar, sugar, salt, and pickling spices. Pour over other ingredients and simmer for about 20 minutes. Then bring to a boil. Remove spice bag. Pack into jars and seal. Process in boiling water bath for about 15 minutes.
