COCONUT FINGERS 
8 slices 3-day old white bread
1 c. sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 c. moist shredded coconut

Cut crust from slices of bread and cut each slice into 8 strips. Dip each strip into milk, then into coconut covering all four sides. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake in slow 325 degree oven for 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from pan immediately. They become crisp on cooling. Ground nuts may be used with or in place of coconut.
