ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE 
5 med. potatoes
2 onions
2 c. asparagus
4 slices cheese or grated Cheddar
Salt and pepper
1/4 c. butter

Slice potatoes and put in baking dish, dice onions and put on top of potatoes. Add asparagus (canned or fresh can be used). Dot with butter, season, cover tightly and cook at least 45 minutes in oven or until potatoes are done. Put cheese on top and let melt before serving.

This can bake for 1 hour at 325 degree oven or can be hurried at 400 degrees. The amounts are variable and can be changed to fit the occasion.
