EASY ONION RINGS | |
1 lg. onion 3/4 c. corn meal 3/4 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 1 egg, beaten Slice onion into 1/4 inch slices. Separate to form rings. Let stand in cold water for 15 minutes. Combine dry ingredients. Add milk and egg. Drain onion rings; coat each with flour and dip in batter, draining off excess. Fry in hot fat (375 degrees) until golden brown, turning once. Drain; sprinkle with salt. Serves 4. |
