2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
6 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix. Add sour cream and vanilla. Stir dry ingredients into mixture. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters and put on greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Decorate with frosting when cooled.
