BLACK BOTTOM PIE 
1 (9 inch) chocolate cookie crust, baked
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
3 eggs, separated
1 1/2 c. milk
2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. unflavored gelatin
1/4 c. cold water

Mix sugar and flour together in medium saucepan. Set aside. Beat egg yolks and milk together in small bowl. Stir milk mixture into flour and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the mixture boils and forms a custard. Mix chocolate and vanilla together in small bowl. Add 1 cup of the cooked custard and stir well. Spread over bottom of prepared crumb crust. Soften gelatin in water. Stir into remaining custard. Place over ice until mixture mounds slightly on spoon.
