FLYING SAUCERS 
2 c. shortening
2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. quick oats
1 tsp. salt
2 c. coconut
1/2 sm. box Wheaties

Cream shortening and sugars. Beat in eggs. Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder together. Blend into creamed mixture. Add oats, Wheaties and coconut. Drop onto greased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from pan immediately. Makes 5 1/2 dozen large cookies.
