BANANA SOUR CREAM WALNUT LOAF 
2/3 c. butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. ripe bananas, mashed
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream
1 c. walnuts

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and bananas. Beat until well blended. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add alternately with sour cream to banana mixture, stirring just to blend. Stir in nuts. Spoon batter into 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan which has been greased and floured on bottom only. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let stand 25 minutes before removing from pan (run knife around edges to loosen).
