MIMI'S RICH CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Put into bowl and add sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla and flour (sift with baking powder). Don't stir until all ingredients are in. Beat for several minutes (4). Pour into 8 inch square pan. Bake 350 degrees, 25-30 minutes.

FROSTING:

2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/4 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar

Melt chocolate and add butter, 1/2 cup sugar, butter and milk. Boil 3-5 minutes until soft ball forms in cold water. Pour over cooled cake.
