BEEF RANCHERO 
1 1/2 lb. boneless lean round steak
1/3 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. chopped onions
1 c. sour cream
3 c. hot cooked rice
1 tbsp. chile powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 1/2 c. beef broth
1/3 c. sliced pimentos

Slice meat into 1/8 inch thick strips. Blend flour and seasonings. Dredge meat in seasoned flour. Brown in oil. Add onions and saute lightly. Stir in broth, sour cream and pimentos. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until meat is tender. Serve with fluffy white rice.
