BAKED SQUASH 
6 med. squash, sliced
3 tbsp. butter
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. cornbread crumbs
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Cut squash into 1 inch slices. Place in saucepan and cover with water. Cook until tender. Drain water off. Then add butter, onion, egg, salt, pepper, sugar and cornbread crumbs. Mix thoroughly. Place in greased casserole dish and sprinkle with cheese. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.
