FRENCH FRIED SHRIMP | |
1 c. flour 1/4 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg 1 c. ice water 2 tbsp. salad oil 2-3 lbs. fresh shrimp, peeled & deveined Combine ingredients; beat well. Peel shell from shrimp, leaving last section and tail intact. Cut slit through center back. Press to fan tail. Dry shrimp; dip into batter; fry in deep fat. You can add ground red or black pepper to taste. |
