SWEDISH FRUIT SOUP 
1/2 c. dried prunes (about 12 med.)
1/2 c. raisins
4 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3 apples, peeled & sliced
2-3 tsp. cornstarch mixed in 1/4 c. cold water

Bring 4 cups water to boil, add prunes, raisins, sugar and cinnamon. Simmer until fruit is soft, about 45 minutes. Add sliced apples and cook until soft. Remove fruit and add water to make 4 cups. Thicken with cornstarch mix. Refrigerate and serve with a topping of whipped cream or sour cream for dessert or as a side dish with ham or pork.
