SPANISH CRULLERS (CHURROS) | |
Vegetable oil 1/2 c. butter 1 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 1 c. water 1/4 tsp. salt 3 eggs 1/4 tsp. cinnamon Heat oil (1-1 1/2 inch in depth) to 360 degrees. Heat water, butter and salt to rolling boil in a 3 quart pan; stir in flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until mix forms a ball, about 1 minute, remove from heat. Beat in eggs all at once, until smooth. Squeeze through pastry tube into oil. Fry until light brown, drain and toss in sugar and cinnamon. |
