HOT DOG CONEY SAUCE
4 1/2 lb. ground beef
2-3 oz. minced onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 (29 oz.) ea. cans tomato sauce (Hunts)
1-2 tbsp. onion powder
1-2 tbsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. chili powder (more or less)
1 tbsp. salt
1-2 tsp. ground cumin
juice from one freshly squeezed lemon

Brown ground beef with minced onion and garlic. Place in Crock-Pot with remaining ingredients. Allow to slow cook on LOW for several hours, about 8 to 10 hours to allow flavor to distribute.

Note: Add more or less chili powder, depending on preference.

Makes a large amount, which is either ideal for a party or to freeze in quart-sized freezer bags for up to six months.
