CHICKEN FRIED STEAK 
2 lbs. tenderized round steak
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. oil
1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp. water (optional)

Cut meat in serving pieces. Mix flour, salt, pepper and baking powder together in a pie plate. Dredge steak in flour mixture. Cook in hot oil over medium- high heat until brown; turn and brown on the other side. The quicker the meat cooks, the juicier it stays. Don't over cook! Make cream gravy with meat drippings to serve with steak.

VARIATION:

If using egg mixture, dip meat in egg prior to dredging in the flour.
