DESSERT CAKE 
8 tsp. or 1 stick butter, soft
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts, pecans or walnuts
1 pkg. cream cheese
1 c. confectioners' sugar
2 sm. pkg. or 1 big pkg. chocolate instant pudding (or your choice)
3 c. cold milk
Bananas
9 oz. Cool Whip

1st Layer: 1 stick butter (soft), 1 1/4 cups flour and 1/2 cup nuts. Blend and press onto bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

2nd Layer: 1 package cream cheese and 1 cup confectioners' sugar. Mix together. Blend in or mix in 1/2 carton of 9 ounce Cool Whip. Spread over 1st layer.

3rd Layer: 2 packages instant pudding and 3 cups cold milk. Mix above. Add bananas, if desired. Spread over 2nd layer and top with remaining Cool Whip.
