CHERRY DELIGHT 
6 egg whites
2 c. granulated sugar
2 c. saltine crackers, broken
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 c. English walnuts, chopped

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar. Fold in the crackers, cream of tartar, and walnuts. Pour into ungreased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and cool 1 hour. Put Cool Whip over top and spread with cherry pie filling. Let stand in refrigerator overnight. This is a good dessert for the holiday season.
