INDIAN CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cocoa
1/2 c. cold, strong coffee
1 c. boiling water

Cream butter, shortening and sugar together. Add each egg and beat 1 minute after each addition. Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add the coffee and boiling water. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
