SCOTCH COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs (save yolk of one to thin with 1 tsp. milk for topping)
1 tsp. mace
1/4 c. molasses
1 tbsp. baking soda
3 c. flour

Cream sugar and butter; add eggs. Mix the rest of the ingredients. Chill for three hours. Make small balls; flatten with glass. Put glaze of egg on cookie. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
