SCOTCH SUGAR COOKIES 
4 eggs

1 1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. each salt and lemon flavoring
4-5 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder

Chill. Roll out thick. Bake 10 minutes, 350 degrees. Frost when cool with powdered sugar frosting. Makes a large batch.
