OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. oatmeal

Cream shortening and sugars. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir together flour, salt and spices. Fold into creamed mixture. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
