CHOCOLATE PIE 
1 c. sugar
3 heaping tbsp. corn starch
3 level tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1 sm. can Pet milk
3 egg yolks
1/4 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, corn starch and cocoa. Add enough of the water to make a paste. Add egg yolks, milk and rest of the water, mix well. Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla, stir until butter is melted. Let cool slightly, pour into 9 inch baked pie shell. Top with Cool Whip or meringue. This will make two pies if you use frozen 9 inch pie shells.

MERINGUE
3 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. corn starch

Mix corn starch with sugar, beat egg whites until frothy, add sugar a little at a time until egg whites form stiff peaks.
