CRANBERRY REFRIG DESSERT 
2 c. fresh cranberries

1 lg. banana, diced
1/2 c. sugar

(Banana and sugar should equal 1 cup.) Set aside. Combine:

2 c. vanilla wafers, crumbled
6 tbsp. melted butter

Press 1/2 the crumbled wafers on bottom of 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Cream together 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup sugar until light. Add 2 eggs and beat until fluffy. Fold in 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Top with cranberry mixture. Whip 1 cup whipping cream until it peaks. Press remaining wafer crumbs lightly on top layer. Serves 12.
