MOTHER'S SAND TARTS 
2 c. white sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs

Cream together above, then add (mixed together) : 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tbsp. cold water

After mixing all the above ingredients, then add 4 or 5 cups flour until stiff. Pat down in large bowl and store in refrigerator overnight. Put wax paper on top.

Next morning roll out until real thin. Cut with cookie cutter. Beat 2 whole eggs and brush on top of cookie. Then shake on a little sugar and cinnamon. Top with English walnuts, half or chopped. Bake at 350 degrees on greased cookie sheet (check after 5 or 6 minutes).
