PORK CHOPS 
4 thick pork chops
4 med. potatoes
8 carrots
2 onions
1/2 to 1 c. boiling water
Black pepper
Savory
1/2 c. beer

Saute pork chops in a little oil. Add black pepper and sprinkle with savory. Meanwhile, slice unpeeled potatoes about 1 inch thick. Cut carrots in half. Slice onions in rings. Layer sliced potatoes, carrots, then onions on top of pork chops. Add some boiling water and beer. Simmer slowly until chops are thoroughly cooked. Nice with chunkie applesauce. 4 servings.
