BEST EVER PIE CRUST 
5 c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
2 c. lard or Crisco
1 egg
2/3 c. water (I prefer very cold water)
1 tbsp. brown or white sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. vinegar

Place flour, salt, and 1/2 shortening in large bowl and cut with knife until mixture resembles cornmeal. Cut remaining 1/2 of shortening into mixture until it is pea size. In small bowl, beat egg into water, sugar, and vinegar. Gently add to dough mixture. Knead and let rest a few minutes. Roll on floured surface.
