DIXIE SCALLOPED CORN 
1/2 c. chopped onion
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
3 c. cooked, drained frozen corn
6 to 8 slices American cheese, torn in pieces
3 c. fresh bread cubes, sauteed in 1/4 c. butter

Saute onion in butter. In a jar, shake together flour, salt and milk, then add to onion and heat, stirring until thickened. Mix drained corn with this sauce and place in casserole dish. Place cheese on top, then spread the bread cubes over all. Bake at 350 degrees about 20 minutes until cheese melts.
