PARKER'S POT ROAST | |
Any cut beef roast 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. paprika 1 can Hunt's special tomato sauce 1/2 c. ketchup 1/2 c. water 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. brown mustard 1 lg. onion, cut in strips Cut away any fat from roast. Mix salt, chili powder and paprika; rub dry mix into meat. Brown on all sides. Stir together tomato sauce, ketchup, water, vinegar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sprinkle roast with onion and add tomato mix. Cover and cook for 2 to 2 1/2 hours in a heavy roaster. |
