1 c. butter
1 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Combine butter, oil, sugars, egg and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix well. Refrigerate dough at least 1 hour or more. Roll dough in small walnut size ball. Put on greased cookie sheet. Press flat with bottom of glass greased and dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes. Will not be brown. Makes about 90 cookies.
