DIABETIC HEALTH COOKIES 
8 tsp. butter
10 pitted dates
18 walnut halves
3 tbsp. seedless raisins
2 saccharin tablets (1/4 grain)
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. flour, stirred
1 egg

Cream butter until soft. Chop the dates and nuts, and place the raisins in hot water to soften. Mix and sift the dry ingredients, and place the nuts and fruits in this mixture. Beat the egg until fluffy and add the saccharin, dissolved in a little water, to it. Add the creamed butter. To the butter and egg mix, add the flour mixture in thirds, stirring just enough to combine the ingredients. Drop by the spoonful on a greased cookie tin. Set oven at 375 degrees and wait until it is fully heated, then bake cookies until brown (12 to 15 minutes). Remove from pan as soon as baked.
