DIABETIC ICE BOX COOKIES 
1 c. butter
3 tablets (1/4 grain each) saccharin
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. water

Cream butter. Add the beaten egg and mix well. Add sifted flour and blend thoroughly. Add vanilla and saccharin tablets which have been dissolved in a small amount of water. Mix well. Form into a long roll, 16 1/2 inches long. Wrap in wax paper and set in the refrigerator overnight. Slice 1/4 inch thick,, lay cookies on sheet and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in oven 350 degrees, 8 to 10 minutes or until brown.
