CABBAGE RELISH 
1 qt. shredded cabbage
1 green pepper, medium chopped
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Mix sugar, vinegar and salt. Pour over cabbage and green pepper. Let stand for 1/2 hour or longer to develop flavors.

Yields 6 to 8 servings.
