SARAH'S COCOA CAKE 
1 scant c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 or 4 eggs
2 tbsp. cocoa

Cream shortening with sugar. Beat egg yolks, add to sugar and Crisco mixture. Add milk and flour. Last add egg whites, beaten. Bake in 2 pans for 35 to 40 minutes in 350 degree oven.
