GINGER SNAPS 
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour (plain)
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add molasses and eggs; mix well. Sift flour, salt, soda, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, ginger together. Add to creamed mixture; mix well.

Shape into small balls; roll in sugar. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
