PLANTATION CASSEROLE | |
2 c. cubed cooked ham 1 pkg. frozen limas, cooked 1 can cream style corn 1/4 lb. American cheese, cubed or grated 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1/4 c. chopped onion 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 c. biscuit mix 1/2 c. cornmeal 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg 2/3 c. evaporated milk Mix ham, limas, corn, cheese, milk, onion and Worcestershire. Pour into a greased 12 x 8 inch baking dish. Bake in 400 degree oven 10 to 20 minutes, or until bubbly at edges. Mix well biscuit mix, cornmeal, sugar, salt, egg and milk. Pour on hot mixture, leaving center uncovered. Spread to edges. Bake 20 minutes more, or until golden brown. NOTES: This can be frozen at the end of Step 2, then reheated to the "bubbly" stage. |
