GOLDEN POTATO SOUP 
3 c. cubed potatoes
1 c. water
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. cubed carrots
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. parsley flakes
chunks of ham, optional
1/2 tsp. salt
dash pepper
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 lb. American cheese

Combine potatoes, water, celery, carrots, onion, parsley flakes, seasonings and bouillon. Cover and simmer until tender. Gradually add milk to flour, stirring until well blended. Add flour & milk mixture to hot vegetables, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat.

Add cheese and stir until melted.
