CIDER STEW 
2 lb. stew meat
3 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. thyme, crushed
2 c. apple cider
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. vinegar
3 potatoes, quartered
4 carrots
2 onions
1 celery branch

In large saucepan brown stew meat in 3 tablespoons oil. Combine flour, salt, pepper and thyme; add to meat. Stir in cider, water and vinegar. Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until meat is tender. Add potatoes, carrots, celery and onion; cook 30 minutes or until tender.
