SAUSAGE-VEGETABLE DINNER | |
3/4 lb. Polish sausage 4 medium baking potatoes 1 green pepper, cut into strips 4 carrots, cut into strips 1 (16 oz.) can French-style green beans, drained 1 medium onion, quartered 1 head cabbage, cored and quartered 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 c. water Cut sausage diagonally into 1/2-inch slices. Cut potatoes into 1/3-inch crosswise slices. Layer sausage, potatoes and next 5 ingredients in order given in a large Dutch oven, sprinkling each vegetable layer with salt and pepper. Add water, and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 35 to 45 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. |
