BROCCOLI MUSHROOM CHOWDER | |
1 lg. bunch broccoli 8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced 2 sticks butter 1 lg. can chicken broth 1 can cream of chicken soup 1/2 c. flour 1 qt. half and half 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. tarragon Steam broccoli which has been cut into 1/2 inch pieces in 1/2 cup water. Do not drain. Melt butter and add flour. Cook 3 to 4 minutes. Add chicken broth and cook until boiling, stirring constantly. Add half and half, broccoli, mushrooms. Stir. Simmer for 2 hours. |
