RAISIN GRIDDLE COOKIES 
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. shortening
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/4 c. raisins

Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Blend egg, milk and add along with raisins to dry mixture. Roll out 1/4-inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Heat griddle, oil slightly. Cook cookies slowly on both sides. Best if served warm.
